James Dunlop Textiles – Provence Collection

James Dunlop Textiles have designed high quality, creative products, enhancing interiors with contemporary furnishings from the finest sustainable textile mills worldwide.

Locus Creative were contracted by James Dunlop Textiles to create a series of informative videos to showcase their collections.

Provence was shot in a stunning French style Villa in Auckland and was our first shoot with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and using Film Convert to grade.
For a quick setup and half a day shooting we were really happy with the result. For the interview I used a SWIT bi-colour LED panel as a key light and the natural light coming in from the french doors to balance. Primarily I used a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens and had a Canon 85mm f/1.2L II USM on hand which I tried for a few shots, but with the crop sensor I had to be selective on when I used it, plus it’s a heavy piece of glass!

“We absolutely love working with Locus Creative on our promotional videos. Our fabrics are high-end luxury products so it is important that our videos reflect this. We know that when we work with Locus Creative we will get this every time. The Locus Creative team will always go the extra mile to ensure the shoot goes smoothly and we get the perfect end result.”
